In 2010, Stacy Flynn went on a business trip to China. She’d been many times before as part of her job in the apparel and textile industry, but this trip was different.
It was the first time she went without corporate credentials.
Seeing firsthand the devastating effects of her work on the environment and people forever changed the way she operates in the apparel and textile industry. Faced with the reality and magnitude of damage caused by her work over many years in the industry, Stacy made a commitment to focus on sustainable innovation. If one person could unintentionally cause so much harm with their work, she wondered what the same person could do intentionally for good.
From that commitment, Future Resource Collective was born.
Future Resource Collective is a collaboration hub and incubator for sustainable innovations in the apparel and textile industry. We combine science, resource management, and design to create restorative solutions and offer consulting expertise for apparel brands and supply chain innovators.
